Kenneth Richardson, Atlanta Native at age 16 founded snacks up. His first goal was to be a retail mobile snack provider. After just one week of delivering snacks throughout his local area he decided to step his game up. A few things made Kenneth change his business model. First Kenneth , also known as KJ saw a need for kid that were hungry after school. Some kids didn’t even know if they were going to be able to get dinner. At that same time one of Kenneth’s family members had a food truck. Kenneth then partnered with area housing authorities apartments and after school program with the goal of offering a hot dinner and a snack bag to metro Atlanta underserved children. Kenneth; s goal has always been to help the community not hurt the community.
Intro to Inmate commissary Program
Kenneth; s second reason for his program was when he saw a love one become incarcerated. During his love ones time in jail , Kenneth saw that they was a lack of choices for healthy options to the inmates. Kenneth did his research and become knowledgeable about that other companies were providing “care packages” to the inmate at a very high unfair price. Kenneth begin to contract out to area jails in order to provide a fair serve to some of GA jails.
